O+D Builders continues to provide full general contracting services for multiple ongoing projects at St. John’s University. Recent projects include building extensions, a gymnasium and classroom renovations, ranging in size from 1,000sf to 30,000sf.
+ Xavarian High School
Brooklyn, NY
Established in 1955, Xaverian High School has been a leader in parochial school education for more than half a century. In 2015 O+D was privileged to be selected by Xaverian to lead the construction of its Genesis Wing renovation. As part of Xaverian’ s ambitious plan, continues to serve the school by providing Construction Management services to ready Xaverian for its transition to a co-educational high school.
+ School of Visual Arts
New York, NY
O+D Builders has been engaged by the School of Visual Arts for multiple projects including the renovation of the theater, two performing art centers and the sculpting & welding rooms. Additionally, renovation was done on the back of house administrative offices. We are currently providing general contracting services for various additional projects.
+ Brooklyn Law School
Brooklyn, NY
O+D Builders completed a full, multi-phase corridor renovation of the Brooklyn Law School dormitories while the campus remained fully occupied, completing three floors at a time to minimize disruption. The scope included new flooring, sprinkler relocations, and extensive carpentry and painting. O+D is also serving as Construction Manager for the fast-track renovation of three floors in the campus’ main building.
+ LaGuardia Community College
Long Island City, NY
15,000sf renovation to college including building several new classrooms, science labs and re-purposing the loading dock to additional classrooms. All work was performed in a manner not to affect ongoing educational programs and administrative work.
+ Queens Public Library
Queens, NY
O+D Builders is the General Contractor on site for the modernization program under progress within the entire Queens Library system. Projects include ADA compliance upgrades, book returns, Children’s Room renovation, administrative office renovation and pantry build out.
+ Town Hall Theater
New York, NY
General Contractor for the code upgrade for public assembly in this 77,000sf historical theater building. The entire 19th century building was converted to an ADA-compliant 21st century facility.
